Samsung has come up with some of the most feature packed and desirable smartwatches in recent years and the company is continuing the trend this year with its latest wearable launch.
Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro were revealed at the Galaxy Unpacked event on August 10, 2022. Both smartwatches are powered by an Exynos chipset and comes with a Gorgeous AMOLED screen which supports Always On Display feature.
The watches are equipped with Samsung’s BioActive sensor which is a 3-in-1 sensor and includes Optical Heart Rate sensor, Electrical Heart (ECG) sensor, and Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA) sensor. The BioActive sensor is used for measuring blood pressure, blood oxygen, body composition and detecting irregular heart rhythm (AFib).Besides other regular sensors like barometer, light and gyro, this year Samsung has also included a temperature sensor.
Both smartwatches are expected to be shipped with the latest WearOs Version 3.5 out of the box. The watches will be available in Bluetooth & LTE versions with variety of colors to choose from. The Galaxy Watch 5 Pro version will be available in Black Titanium & Gray Titanium colors for the 45mm size. The regular Galaxy Watch 5 will be available in Pink Gold, Graphite & Silver for the 40mm size and in Sapphire, Graphite & Silver for the 44mm size. All these versions supports wireless charging.
