Olivia Wilde Clears Controversy Surrounding Shia LeBeouf’s Firing, She Did It Because

‘Don’t Worry Darling’ is one of the most awaited psychological thriller featuring Florence Pugh as the lead actor. Florence Pugh was initially to be paired alongside Shia LaBeouf, before the LaBeouf was fired by Olivia Wilde Florence’s ‘safety’.

In a recent interview, Olivia mentioned that Shia’s methods did not fit the ethics she requires. She also mentioned that his process is somewhat “combative” and was not good for the environment which Olivia demands in her productions.

Wilde continued saying that she believes in providing a safe and trustful environment as it enables people to bring our the best in them. Further, she feels it is her responsibility to protect the production and the cast and therefore, she had to go forward with Shia’s exit.

Speaking on how Shia LaBeouf’s dismissal from Don’t Worry Darling brought forward a lot to the light and made her “very upset” because of the actor’s “behavior“. Olivia Wilde said she just finds herself wishing the actor health and progress since she believes in restorative justice.

However, returning to the subject of making her set feel secure, particularly for Florence Pugh, Wilde said that what they really needed for their movie was a very supportive energy. Her top objective was giving Florence the sense that she was supported and safe, especially with a movie like this where Wilde knew that she would be asking Florence to be in extremely vulnerable circumstances.”
