Olivia Wilde Clears Controversy Surrounding Shia LeBeouf’s Firing, She Did It Because

‘Don’t Worry Darling’ is one of the most awaited psychological thriller featuring Florence Pugh as the lead actor. Florence Pugh was initially to be paired alongside Shia LaBeouf, before the LaBeouf was fired by Olivia Wilde Florence’s ‘safety’.

In a recent interview, Olivia mentioned that Shia’s methods did not fit the ethics she requires. She also mentioned that his process is somewhat “combative” and was not good for the environment which Olivia demands in her productions.

Wilde continued saying that she believes in providing a safe and trustful environment as it enables people to bring our the best in them. Further, she feels it is her responsibility to protect the production and the cast and therefore, she had to go forward with Shia’s exit.

Speaking on how Shia LaBeouf’s dismissal from Don’t Worry Darling brought forward a lot to the light and made her “very upset” because of the actor’s “behavior“. Olivia Wilde said she just finds herself wishing the actor health and progress since she believes in restorative justice.

However, returning to the subject of making her set feel secure, particularly for Florence Pugh, Wilde said that what they really needed for their movie was a very supportive energy. Her top objective was giving Florence the sense that she was supported and safe, especially with a movie like this where Wilde knew that she would be asking Florence to be in extremely vulnerable circumstances.”

‘Don’t Worry Darling’ Movie – Everything We Know

Fans are eagerly waiting for “Don’t Worry Darling” to release in theaters. The Florence Pugh and Harry Styles movie is already making headlines for it’s trailer which is exceptional.

Director Olivia Wilde, opened up on the complications faced while filming the movie during a pandemic. In late 2020, production was interrupted in Los Angeles due to someone on the set testing positive for COVID-19. It resulted in a 2 weeks break, after which filming resumed in November 2020.

The movie also went through many casting issues. Initially Shia LaBeouf, who was in the lead role, had to drop out due to a scheduling issue. Later, within a span of one month, Dakota Johnson also had to drop out due to prior commitments. Following the exists of two lead role casts, the Director discussed not allowing actors on her set who don’t contribute positively to the movie.

When is Don’t Worry Darling Releasing

Don’t worry Darling is scheduled to be released on September 23, 2022.

The trailer of the movie comes with the caption, “In theaters only,” which implies that Don’t Worry Darling probably won’t stream online in near future.

The trailer included a passionate kiss between Pugh & Styles. Trailer also showed her screaming with a plastic wrap around her head, while just moments before she’s seen sitting poolside with a drink.

Movie Plot

Don’t Worry Darling tells story of a 1950 unhappy housewife who finds a dark secret hidden by her loving husband.

It’s reported that Chris Pine will play “the revered leader of a mysterious, cult-like worksite,” while Kiki Layne will be playing the role of Pugh’s neighbor who exhibits “strange, paranoid behavior and tries to warn Pugh that everything in their community is not what it seems.”
